Abstract:
The objective of this was to study, identify and apply care in the different types of bedsores associated with limited mobility due to biological factors, the physical and emotional environment of older adults in the Feliz Hogar Retirement Home, located in the north of the city of Quito.
Identifying the level of knowledge and capacity of health personnel for the management and care of patients with pressure ulcers, thus determining that the personnel need more updated knowledge to be able to treat these cases and thus achieve a full recovery of older adults, improving their quality of life.
A quantitative methodology was applied, through physical surveys applied to a population sample of 22 health members. Subsequently, there are the conclusions found throughout the development as the final result, and recommendations focused on the improvement and training to each of the health members belonging to the Hogar Feliz Retirement Home, finally the references and annexes established with the sources of information received during the process.

El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo estudiar, identificar y aplicar cuidados en los diferentes tipos de escaras asociadas a la movilidad limitada por factores biológicos, del entorno físico y emocional de los adultos mayores del Ancianato Feliz Hogar, ubicado en el norte de la ciudad de Quito.
Identificando el nivel de conocimiento y capacidad del personal de salud para el manejo y cuidado de pacientes con presencia de úlceras por presión, llegando así a determinar que el personal necesita de más conocimiento actualizados para poder tratar estos casos y lograr así una recuperación total de los adultos mayores, mejorando su calidad de vida.
Se aplicó una metodología cuantitativa, mediante encuestas físicas aplicadas a una muestra poblacional de 22 miembros de salud. Posteriormente, están las conclusiones halladas a lo largo del desarrollo como el resultado final, y recomendaciones enfocadas en el mejoramiento y capacitaciones a cada uno de los miembros de salud pertenecientes al Ancianato Feliz Hogar, finalmente las referencias y anexos establecidos con las fuentes de información acogidas durante el proceso.
