Abstract:
The main objective of this research work was to design and implement an automatic system for changing the main lights of a vehicle with the use of the ATMega 328P microcontroller to achieve precise and efficient control of the lights. To achieve the objectives, strategic sensors were used, among them a photoresistor, which accurately monitor the exterior luminosity. These data are channeled to the ATMega 328P microcontroller, which assumes the function of making decisions in real time, automatically adjusting the on and off of the main lights, with the activation of the relays, which act as switches that allow the passage of current. towards the respective lights as required. This process ensures optimal visibility and safe driving, while reducing the burden on the driver. The efficiency and reliability of the system undergo extensive validation through tests in real driving conditions. The results demonstrate that the system not only achieves precision control over lighting, but also demonstrates adaptability in various lighting environments. This versatility contributes to improving the driver experience and road safety. Additionally, the positive impact on the energy efficiency of the vehicle is highlighted. The microcontroller, by regulating the operation of the lights according to the conditions, reduces unnecessary energy consumption, which has considerable economic implications.

El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo principal diseñar e implementar un sistema automático de cambio de luces principales de un vehículo con la utilización del microcontrolador ATMega 328P para lograr un control preciso y eficiente de las luces. Para el alcance de los objetivos, se emplearon sensores estratégicos, entre ellos una fotorresistencia, que monitorean con precisión la luminosidad exterior. Estos datos son canalizados hacia el microcontrolador ATMega 328P, que asume la función de tomar decisiones en tiempo real, ajustando automáticamente el encendido y apagado de las luces principales, con la activación de los relés, los cuales actúan como interruptores que permiten el paso de corriente hacia las respectivas luces según sea necesario. Este proceso garantiza una visibilidad óptima y una conducción segura, al tiempo que reduce la carga del conductor. La eficacia y confiabilidad del sistema se someten a una validación exhaustiva a través de pruebas en condiciones reales de conducción. Los resultados demuestran que el sistema no solo logra un control de precisión sobre la iluminación, sino que también demuestra adaptabilidad en diversos entornos lumínicos. Esta versatilidad contribuye a la mejora de la experiencia del conductor y a la seguridad vial. Adicionalmente, se destaca el impacto positivo en la eficiencia energética del vehículo. El microcontrolador, al regular el funcionamiento de las luces según las condiciones, reduce el consumo energético innecesario, lo que tiene implicaciones económicas considerables.
