Desarrollo y Automatización del Proceso que Maneja el Test Vocacional que se Aplica a los Alumnos de Primer Nivel del ISTVN e Integración al Sistema.

Abstract

The Department of Student Welfare, through the area of Psychology, conducts vocational orientation tests in order to know which are the areas of study in which each of the students of the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Vida Nueva will be able to develop in a better way, achieving to be a guide in the decision making process of the students when choosing which career to follow. The ideal would be to be able to reach one hundred percent of the students, a task that is impossible due to material in sheets and copies of the tests required for each of the students, the time it takes for a student to take a test, the time it takes the psychologist to tabulate, compare and record each of the test questions. This whole process, carried out manually, hinders the capacity for tabulation and analysis, as well as recording and the risk of losing information. Thus, in order to avoid repetitive tasks, automate those that do not add value, avoid tabulation errors, reach one hundred percent of the students, improve the time of completion and delivery of results, it was proposed the development of this vocational test module through the use of computer tools such as PHP and MySQL. In addition, using html tags language together with different CSS styles, an interactive and user friendly interface was developed for an easy manipulation of the different components. There is a physical server where the automated vocational test web program was uploaded so that each student who is going to take the test can enter the SIGAA system.
