Abstract

The objective of this was to study, identify and apply care in the different types of bedsores associated with limited mobility due to biological factors, the physical and emotional environment of older adults in the Feliz Hogar Retirement Home, located in the north of the city of Quito. Identifying the level of knowledge and capacity of health personnel for the management and care of patients with pressure ulcers, thus determining that the personnel need more updated knowledge to be able to treat these cases and thus achieve a full recovery of older adults, improving their quality of life. A quantitative methodology was applied, through physical surveys applied to a population sample of 22 health members. Subsequently, there are the conclusions found throughout the development as the final result, and recommendations focused on the improvement and training to each of the health members belonging to the Hogar Feliz Retirement Home, finally the references and annexes established with the sources of information received during the process.
