Estudio para la implementación de modelos virtuales con entornos interactivos en el Museo San Francisco de Quito.

Abstract

The research focused on a study for the implementation of virtual models with interactive environments in the Museo San Francisco de Quito, since interactivity currently plays a crucial role in museums. This was elaborated based on two methodologies, field and documentary the first one, was carried out by applying surveys to tourists, it managed to collect data based on the proposed topic, to do it was taken into consideration the dimensions of the model proposed by Mondo, which emphasizes on the evaluation of the quality of services in tourist attractions, this survey was developed on the Google Forms platform, which obtained positive results, which determined that it is feasible to implement virtual models with interactive environments in the museum San Francisco de Quito. In the same way, documentary research was used, which was carried out through digital sources, in order to search for information related to the subject. This research work was descriptive, because it identified the feasibility of implementing virtual models. It also determined the necessary elements for the implementation of the PDI (Interactive Digital Displays), such as the design and model of the PDI, software, etc.... In addition, the simulation of the content of the PDI in the Wix platform was performed, which allowed the creation of a page in which there is respective information of each room of the Museo San Francisco de Quito, instructions on how to use it and a historical review of the Franciscan convent, this website is available in three languages, Spanish, English and French.
